Thai Actress Mew Nittha's Stay at Skye Niseko!
We welcomed Mew Nittha, one of Thailand's most famous actresses, to Skye Niseko last winter. It was her first visit to Niseko and she enjoyed powder snow at its best. We caught up with her to discuss her stay.
Thank you for staying at Skye Niseko. Was it your first time here in Niseko? How did you like it?
Yes it was my first time in Niseko and I loved everything around here. I enjoyed the snow and my stay at Skye Niseko made it very convenient to access Gondola. I had a great time skiing and snowboarding.
Do you ski or snowboard? Is it your first time of skiing / snowboarding?
I have skied before but I tried snowboarding for the very first time here and now I prefer to snowboard more than skiing.
Onsen or spa would be perfect after riding, did you try any of them?
I have tried both the Onsen and Spa at Skye Niseko penthouse. After an entire day of snowboarding, the Onsen and spa was very relaxing to me. I enjoyed the open air Onsen in the Skye Niseko penthouse, where I got to experience the snow fall while having Onsen with an outstanding view of Mount Yotei and Hirafu village.
What did you love the most about the room?
I really liked the interior and decoration of the room and loved the Onsen and Spa of course. Additionally, I would like to mention about the common area of our Penthouse, this was great for me to enjoy some quality time with my friends at night. Last but not the least, cooking dinner with a great view was something I really enjoyed.
Did you spend most of your time in Hirafu or did you travel around the local area at all?
I spent most of my time in Hirafu during my stay but I did explore a bit of Annupuri as well.
Do you have a favorite ski run or area of the mountain? Where is it?
I liked Annupuri. It was quiet and I loved the powder snow.
How did you learn how to snowboard?
I took lessons from GoSnow instructors during my visit.
Did you improve a lot and was it fun? What was the best thing about the lesson?
I did fall many times in the beginning and after putting a lot of effort I finally could do turns. I had so much fun with it.
What did you think of the Skye Niseko ski-in ski-out entrance?
Ski-in-ski-out is amazing! This is one of the many reasons why I want to get back to Skye Niseko as I do not think I can go back to carrying my skis or snowboard.
Apart from snowboarding, what else did you like about Niseko?
I really like food there. It was delicious and fresh.
What was your favorite food in Niseko?
I really loved Sea Urchin (uni), Furry crab and Shabu Shabu.
Do you plan to come back to Niseko in future? Any idea when?
Definitely yes and should be early next year.
If you come back back to Niseko in the future, do you plan to come back to Skye Niseko?
Yes for sure!
