One week left to experience the magic of night skiing in Niseko
We've said it before and we'll say it again, night skiing in Niseko should not be missed. With only one week left, now is the perfect opportunity to give it a try.
Skye Niseko has night skiing right at the doorstep, with convenient access to the Ace Quad Lift #2 (Center 4) lift from the Ski Valet. You can be on the slopes in minutes, exploring a variety of terrain.
To make the most of the final week of skiing under the stars, here are just a few reasons why night skiing should be on your holiday itinerary.
Quality is unmatched
Niseko boasts a steady and intermittent snowfall, which means more often than not you can enjoy smooth fresh tracks - even at nighttime. As many skiers wrap up their day around 4:00 PM, you'll have the chance to carve through fresh tracks on select runs until the lifts close at 7:00 PM.
Practice turns on beginner green runs or challenge yourself on the variety of red and black runs also available at night. Strong floodlights help to illuminate wooded areas between run, so the opportunities are plentiful.
Enjoy the twinkling lights of the village from above
On clear nights, you can admire the twinkling stars and the glittering lights of Hirafu from above, providing a different perspective to during the daytime.
It's a breathtaking sight and it's not uncommon to ski or snowboard past people taking a break to admire the views.
At the top of the Alpen run, adjacent to Skye Niseko, you may even be able to catch a glimpse of your room or wave to your loved ones as you make your way down the slope.
Less crowded - in some cases you can even get the runs to yourself
Niseko's night skiing offers a unique opportunity to experience the slopes in a tranquil and serene atmosphere.
There are some nights when the slopes are virtually empty. Take in the tranquility of the mountains as you wind your way down a run under the moonlight.
Great visibility
It's hard to believe that visibility could be better at night than during the day, but that's often the case in Niseko.
When the powerful floodlights illuminate the slopes, they cut through fog and reveal the bumps, and tracks that may be missed on a white-out morning or grey afternoon.
Steps away from a delicious dinner after you're done
After you've finished the last run at 7:00 PM, why not reward yourself for all that hard work on the slopes and treat yourself to a delicious meal at Kumo Restaurant, located on Level 1 of Skye Niseko.
Enjoy a warming Izakaya dinner and a bubbly beverage to top off a fabulous night of riding. You deserve it!
